St. Mark Catholic School is situated in the town of Markstay, right
next door to St. Mark Parish. We share the building with École
Camille Perron, a school of the Grand Nord District School Board.
We are truly a community and a family type school.
With only two classrooms, our students form close relationships
with each other and indeed, we all feel as if we are one big happy
family! Our small class sizes contribute to our ability to offer
much individualized teaching, and our students benefit greatly from
the attention their teachers are able to give them on a daily basis.
We offer full programs from JK to grade 8, including Core French.
Our students go on many excursions, attend Mass at St. Mark’s
Parish once a week, have hot meals twice a month, visit the town
library weekly and our grade 7 and 8 students participate in many
bridging activities with Marymount Academy and St. Charles College.
We celebrate our students’ accomplishments monthly with Student
of the Month and Terrific Kid Awards. For a complete outline of
activities, visit our website often and take a look at our school
calendars and newsletters.
After St. Mark
Students graduating from St. Mark move on to St. Charles College
or Marymount Academy. Marymount is an all girls school serving students
from grade 7 to 12.
